Q. Is there anything you won't print?
A. Thetshirtexpress.com prides itself on non-discriminatory practices; you may only use the content responsibly, in a manner consistent with the exercise of good judgment. For example, and without limitation, we reserve the right to not print shirts that: (i) infringe the copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, right of publicity or any other right of a third party; (ii) are or may be libelous, defamatory or slanderous; (iii) denigrate or offend any ethnic, racial, sexual or religious group, or persons who are physically or mentally challenged; (iv) are designed to or will harass, threaten, defame or abuse others; (v) exploit images or the likeness of individuals under 18 years of age; or (vi) characterize any other unlawful activity as acceptable, glamorous or desirable.
Q. Will my shirt look just as it does on the computer screen after it is printed?
A. The color will not be exact due to variances in individual computer monitor settings, however it will be close. Also the digital printing process uses the CMYK process. When printing on a colored shirt that color will affect the ink color slightly. For that reason we have selected the T-shirt colors that this process prints best on with as little variation as possible. For screen-printing we use specific PMS spot colors for ink.
Q. What if I have questions or trouble designing?
A. You can either e-mail us at customerservice@thetshirtexpress.com or call Darter Specialties, Inc., our corporate office, between 9am and 4pm EST at 203-699-9805.

Q. Do you charge for artwork?
A. Thetshirtexpress.com allows you to do your own designing, so there is no artwork charge for work done on the online designer. You may call us for assistance with your design at no charge.
Uploaded art must be high resolution (300 dpi). The art staff can work with art of lower resolution, but having them do so will incur a separate art charge, billed at $25.00 per half hour.

Q. What are your business hours?
A. Our business hours are: Monday thru Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST.
Q. What is the least expensive shirt?
A. The least expensive t-shirt would be a white shirt with a 1-color design. Pricing is based on the following factors:
- shirt style and color
- number of colors and locations printed on the shirt
- quantity of shirts ordered
To keep per piece costs low we recommend
- ordering larger quantities
- ordering white garments rather than colors
- printing on fewer locations
- printing fewer colors
Q. Do you charge sales tax?
A. Sales tax is charged only on orders shipped to a Connecticut address with the exception of shirts, which are tax exempt.
Q. What happens when I save a design?
A. A saved design can be accessed via Customer Login and can have changes made to it. Saving your design does not obligate you in any way.
Q. What type of textiles do you offer?
A. Most of our t-shirts, sweatshirts, etc. are offered in 100% cotton and 50/50 cotton/polyester blend. Not all colors are offered in both types of material. Sports gray and ash gray colors that are listed under 100% cotton are blends ranging from 90% to 99% cotton.
Q. What forms of payment do you accept?
A. Online payment is handled through Authorize.net. Orders are processed securely using Secure Socket Layer Technology. Purchase Orders (P.O.) are accepted but are reserved for qualified organizations such as schools, government agencies and large corporations. Purchase Orders must be verified and therefore only can be placed by phone.
Q. Do you allow changes to an order?
A. Once placed, an order is final and cannot be changed. This policy exists because of workflow issues involving textile stock, screen supplies, and scheduling press time. Please make sure your order is exactly the way you want it before ordering.
Q. Can I add different designs to the same order?
A. No. Each design makes up a separate order.
Q. Can I cancel my order?
A. No. Cancellations are not allowed due to the speed with which work begins. Work concerning screens, artwork, and textiles begin upon placement of an order. Once placed, an order is final.
Q. How does your company ship?
A. We ship exclusively with UPS. We are located in Connecticut. Remember, ground shipping is free in the Continental United States. Note: We are not responsible for delays in delivery by UPS for reasons of their choosing (e.g. adverse weather conditions). Refunds will not be offered if UPS does not meet their delivery responsibilities.
Q. What if there are questions with my order?
A. If there are problems or questions with your order, incomplete information, an art recommendation, etc., we will contact you by e-mail. We will not be able to continue production until you respond. Please do so promptly, since this could cause a delay in your order. Delivery times to Alaska and Hawaii vary. Please check with UPS for exact delivery times to your address.
